Mathematics:

Bed Time Math - I love this site.  Real world, interesting applications of math concepts!  - http://bedtimemathproblem.org/

The SumDog website has also been a hit with Oak Grove students.  All students have an account set up, and are enrolled in the Oak Grove SumDog community.  Students can access this account from any computer with internet access - www.sumdog.com.  If you need to know login information for your child, contact their classroom teacher.

http://illuminations.nctm.org/ - A great website by the National Center for Teachers of Math

http://www.fi.uu.nl/rekenweb/en/ - A great collection of math games

Reading:

Have you ever used the Lexia reading program at home?  Oak Grove purchased numerous licenses to this wonderful reading development program, and students and families can install it on their home computer at no charge.  Please contact me (jon_sessions@wsesu.org), or your child's classroom teacher for information about how to do so.

PBS Kids - http://pbskids.org/games/reading.html

Also, much research points to the fact that the best way for children to become better readers is too....read!  If you need help finding a just right book for your child, let us know!
